Exciting welterweight striker Michael Page will return to action at Bellator 153: Koreshkov vs. Henderson on April 22nd in Connecticut.

After pulling out of Bellator 151 for undisclosed reasons, undefeated welterweight Michael Page is set to fight again next month at Bellator 153 in Uncasville, Connecticut. MMA Fighting reports that “Venom” will fight Jeremie Holloway on April 22nd. Bellator officials have not yet confirmed the booking.

Page (9-0) last fought in October 2015 against Charlie Ontiveroswhom he stopped with jaw-crushing elbows at Bellator 144. The flashy striker from England has finished all but one of his opponents in the first round, usually by highlight-reel KO. Before Page withdrew from Bellator 151, he was scheduled for a co-main event slot against veteran Fernando Gonzalez.

Holloway (7-1) actually competed on the prelims of that Bellator 144 show, losing by heel hook to Matt Secor. It’s the 31-year-old’s only appearance in Bellator to date. Otherwise, “Hit Em” has spent almost the whole of his career on the regional circuit, with 4 bouts taking place in his native North Carolina, recording stoppages in 5 of his 7 victories.

Basically, if you expected Page to get that step up in competition and fight one of Bellator’s more familiar faces at 170, you won’t be getting that. Holloway will surely be a massive underdog come fight night against MVP.

The main event of Bellator 153 is a welterweight title fight between champion Andrey Koreshkov and former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson.
