Another bout surfaced for the upcoming “TUF 12″ Finale, set for Dec. 4th at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
UFC middleweights Rich Attonito (9-3) and Dave Branch (7-1) will meet at “The Ultimate Fighter” season 12 Finale according to MMAjunkie.com. There was no official word on if the fight would make the televised card or not, but it’s likely the bout would not make the Spike TV broadcast.
Attonito is riding a four fight win streak, which includes two in the UFC having defeated Rafael Natal via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night: Marquardt vs. Palhares. The “TUF 11″ alumni would earn a second-round TKO over Jamie Yager in his UFC debut at the “TUF 11″ Finale. Attonito had advanced to the quarterfinals but an injury forced his withdrawal from the reality series tournament.
Branch bounced back from his first career loss by earning a unanimous decision over Tomasz Drwal in September at the UFC Fight Night: Marquardt vs. Palhares event. The loss, which was his UFC debut, was to Gerald Harris at last summers UFC 116: Lesnar vs. Carwin event where he was knocked out after a brutal third round slam to the mat.
