Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight!
Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Unfortunately, the search for Walt Harris’ missing step-daughter continues without any positive news. Quite understandably, Harris has pulled out of his upcoming main event slot opposite Alistair Overeem (45-17-1), which was slated to take place December 7, 2019 at UFC on ESPN 7 inside the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
Just about one month away from the event, Surinamese wrecking machine Jairzinho Rozenstruik (9-0) has agreed to fill-in for “The Big Ticket.” Rozenstruik just knocked out Andrei Arlovski last Saturday night (Nov. 2, 2019) at UFC 244, but given that the whole ordeal lasted less than 30 seconds, the longtime professional kickboxer is ready for another walk to the Octagon. The Arlovski knockout was Rozenstruick’s third-straight UFC win, and each victory has come via knockout.
Meanwhile, Overeem has won his last two bouts via stoppage as well, pounding out both Sergei Pavlovich and Alexey Oleinik. Overeem is currently ranked as the sixth best Heavyweight in the world, whereas Rozenstruik has not yet broken into the top 15. As such, it’s a rather risky fight for “The Reem,” as Rozenstruick seems very much like the real deal.

I’m just sitting here behind my keyboard inviting y’all to come try me!
MMA fans are insane. Some random person just tried to fight me in the escalator from the press balcony to the media room because “you think you’re special with your little f*cking media badge.” Thanks to the people who pulled him away from screaming in my face and let me by.

I have to agree with the Twitter replies and say this accident looks distinctly Lovecraftian.

Midnight Music: Hip-hop classic “Bombs Over Baghdad” from the legendary duo OutKast unexpectedly blasted in both of the gyms I worked out in today. I can’t remember the last time in played in either gym, so this seemed like a surefire sign from the heavens that it was meant to be tonight’s song of choice!
Sleep well Maniacs! More martial arts madness is always on the way.
