Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight!
Welcome to Midnight Mania!
UFC Welterweight veteran Daniel Rodriguez is no stranger to the tattoo gun, but his latest ink reveal has split fan reactions.
“D-Rod,” 37 years of age, is already heavily inked up, somewhat well-known for his face tattoo and massive 1986 on his chest. His artwork has a very distinct look to be certain. His new piece portrays Jesus Christ on the cross and takes up the entire backside of his head, which is a standout piece even by UFC fighter standards.
Check out some of the fan reactions to his latest ink from social media below:
“That’s actually wild af”
“Guy’s a savage, sick tattoo“
“It’s giving skin head in prison vibes. wouldn’t trust him around my kids”
“He should win fights instead”
“Very prison chic”
“Thats a baaaaad mfer right there. You earn those tattoos”
Times have been tough for Rodriguez as of late. After a 7-1 start to his UFC career, Rodriguez has come up short in three consecutive fights to the likes of Neil Magny, Ian Garry, and Kelvin Gastelum. Admittedly, there’s a bit of an asterisk next to that final loss: Gastelum was on track to miss the Welterweight limit so badly that Rodriguez agreed to fight him at Middleweight instead. He came up short in the fight itself, but his willingness to fight on despite Gastelum’s weight miss earned him a pay raise and new contract.
How do you like Rodriguez’s latest ink, Maniacs?
Insomnia
Kamaru Usman’s name doesn’t belong in the Welterweight title picture until he’s back in the Octagon and wins a fight.
18-0 with 100% finishes or 0-3 in the last three fights. I think there should be no question who fights next for the title

There are probably loads of UFC fans who have never seen Stipe Miocic win a fight live.

I don’t think many UFC fighters are going to beat Paulo Costa in an arm-wrestling match.

Alex Pereira’s power definitely feels like a cheat code.
Sean Strickland explains why it’s so tough facing Alex Pereira:
“I’m not scared of Alex, but my chin… I’ll just go to sleep it’s a weird thing…
For me to knock Alex out he has to do something really stupid… if you gave me one free shot and you said give everything you can,… pic.twitter.com/jqMHovjj5g

This is a strange trash talk angle from a guy who doesn’t finish fights.
Don’t be scared boy, I’ll make it quick. You won’t feel a thing. https://t.co/4rMa3K1l9r
