Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight!
Welcome to Midnight Mania!
After a considerable amount of time on the side lines, one of Featherweight’s most powerful punchers is set to return to action.
Per a report from BJPenn.com, Team Alpha Male slugger Josh Emmett has been booked opposite hard-nosed Hawaiian contender Dan Ige at UFC 269 on December 11 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Both men are ranked inside the Featherweight Top 10, at No. 7 and No. 9 respectively.
Emmett last competed in June 2020, battling passed Shane Burgos in one of the best fights of the year (HIGHLIGHTS). However, he completely tore his ACL in the first round of that contest, and subsequent injuries in his rehabilitation have since kept him away from competition. The 36-year-old veteran currently rides a three-fight win streak.
Ige, on the other hand, enters this contest following a main event decision loss to Chan Sung Jung back in June. “50k” has struggled a bit as of late, losing two of his last three fights, but prior to those main event setbacks, he rose into the ranks on a major win streak.
Who ya’ got?!?

This interview clip is pure comedy. Paulo Costa acting like he doesn’t know what a weigh-in is, then the duo take a pause from their trash talk to do the mental math of kilograms to pounds — amazing!

There’s nothing I love more than side-by-side photo analysis. Most concerning, Costa’s arms seem to have shrunk another inch!
Nah something definitely wrong with Costa pic.twitter.com/sKHEKYiTCQ

Is it even remotely surprising that Petr Yan goes hard in sparring?
I don’t believe that I have ever seen a diving elbow knockout before this clip.
