Welcome to Midnight Mania!

MMA is very often the sport of hurt feelings. Despite being some of the toughest individuals on the planet, fighters routinely get upset at mild trash talk and do not always bury the hatchet post-fight.

Thankfully, Donald Cerrone is not so sensitive. “Cowboy” still has fair reasons to be a bit peeved at Tony Ferguson, as their last bout ended in controversial fashion due to a strike after the bell. It was enough that Cerrone immediately began requesting a rematch with Ferguson, but given some time and a new opponent, it seems Cerrone has completely moved on.

Talking with MMAJunkie, Cerrone was adamant that Ferguson receive the next shot at Lightweight gold, exclaiming, “Hell yeah, man! Give the dude his dues!” Even with Conor McGregor lurking in the background (on Twitter), Cerrone doubled down and sided with “El Cucuy.”

At this point, it’s almost unanimous that Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson is the fight to make at 155 lbs. The only real dissenters are McGregor (for obvious reasons) and Nurmagomedov’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, who wants his client to face off with Georges St. Pierre.

Will reason rule the day? One can only hope.

I have no idea how one overcomes a massive size disadvantage in SUMO of all things.

Natural Southpaws are the luckiest fighters. There is no better double threat in MMA than the left cross-left kick, which is why I end up talking about it on half of my technique articles/videos.

One last bit of Southpaw violence, this time in the ring:
