Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every quarantined night!
Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Earlier today, Tony Ferguson went on Twitter to post a sauna picture and assure the world he would make weight for his UFC 249 main event against Justin Gaethje. That’s pretty standard stuff for fight week … when the event is actually happening.

It’s hard not to walk into the “Tony Ferguson is the type of guy …” meme format here.
“El Cucuy” continues to carve out a path all his own by cutting weight for a cancelled event. While Ferguson has never missed weight nor does he seem to have a tremendously difficult cut, few would choose to willingly starve and dehydrate for no real gain. Most consider the weight cut the worst part of the entire fight experience.
Other than Tony simply being Tony, the only possible explanation here I can find is that Ferguson wants to send a message to Khabib Nurmagomedov. Ever since Nurmagomedov was hospitalized due to his weight cut (an event which cancelled their third prospective match up), Ferguson has repeatedly poked fun and attacked Nurmagomedov for his weight issue.
There have been many, many “Tiramisu Tuesday” posts in the last couple years. Is this the latest example of such unique trash talk or just Ferguson dancing to his own tune?

Jonathan Haggerty’s teep kick is awesome:
If Dominick Cruz still gets a title shot after the events are re-booked, that’s number one bullsh*t.
So if UFC 250 will be moved to the Island, does that mean Aldo doesn’t need visa and he is still fighting Cejudo? Or it’s finally the time for elders to get back to the end of the line and let legit contender dethrone triple clown!? https://t.co/X51YaLi7qs

Some fan art of Valentina Shevchenko, everyone’s favorite Kyrgyzstan agent.
Gilbert Burns takes another shot at Tyron Woodley. I don’t think it’ll get him the fight, but it’s entertaining at least!
A couple more Disney vs. Dana White memes for good measure …

Obviously Mark Hunt is a legend, but is it wrong that I feel like Dan Bobish has largely been forgotten? He fought some real bad dudes in his time, and he even won against a few of ‘em!

Nowadays, there’s rarely major punishment for taking a bad shot and getting sprawled on. That didn’t used to be the case …

Ouch.
Midnight Music: Pretty interesting fact about Violent Femmes self-titled debut: despite releasing in 1983, the album went platinum in 1991 without ever putting a single song on the Billboard 200 album chart. Slow and steady!
Sleep well Maniacs! More martial arts madness is always on the way.
