Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight
Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Max Holloway has developed a lot over the years. His current 12-fight win streak and the undisputed featherweight belt around his waist attest to the growth that occurred in the Octagon.
But Holloway has also grown in another area important to UFC stardom: his social media game. Max is a savvy player of the interwebs, and his trolling of Conor McGregor has been both genuine and funny. His latest zing pokes fun at McGregor’s Burger King advertisement, which, let’s be honest, was pretty easy to do.
You went from King of Ireland to King of “chicken”? Looking forward to the two strips meal coming April 7.
PS Shout out to the real fighting Irish. The ones who value whats in heart before wahts on waist. Hawaii respects you and welcomes you with open arms.

The barb comes after McGregor replied to Holloway’s praise for Frankie Edgar following UFC 222.
Kid, you bounced. Leave it.

Holloway will face this weekend’s co-main event winner, Brian “T-City” Ortega, in his next title defense, possibly at UFC 226.
Insomnia
Cain Velasquez, contrary to what Daniel Cormier thought, would be willing to “fight’ Brock Lesnar in the WWE.
Never say never @dc_mma. I’m down to take @brocklesnar in the @WWE anytime, anywhere.

I’ve never seen a guy wrestle a horse to the ground.
Valentina Shevchenko is choosing the date she will be crowned flyweight champion.
Correction: UFC 225 in Chicago.

Being chased by… a cheetah??
At long last, the fight I’ve been waiting years to see.

Frankie Edgar is the definition of ‘class act’.
Saturday did not go as planned, congrats to Ortega he definitely got me with some good ones. Thanks to all my peers, my team, my friends, and my fans for their nice words, they don’t go unnoticed. All I can do now is dust myself off and get ready to put it all on the line again.

Meisha sided with her ex Bryan Caraway, thinking he should have gotten the nod on the weekend over Cody Stamann.
I don’t think @BryanCaraway lost, he won rounds 1 & 3 IMO. The judging was consistently terrible for #UFC222. https://t.co/71DbNY08wg

Seems like they could have found a better fight for Mirko Cro Cop than Roy Nelson. Last time they fought Nelson smothered Mirko.
Bellator officially announces Mirko Cro Cop vs. Roy Nelson at Bellator 200 in May, in London. Seven years after the original, at UFC 137 (Roy won via TKO). Cro Cop left the UFC in 2015, after he was suspended 2 years for HGH. 5-0 in Rizin during that time.

Roy Nelson isn’t sure Lombard should have lost by DQ- should it have been a no-contest?
From a fighter stand point! @hectorlombard muscle memory kicked in. He did the same thing seconds before so the question is did he deserve the DQ? pic.twitter.com/dPEeFLbGkD

Dana White made the right call, judging by the reactions to Wilder-Ortiz online.

Al Iaquinta had some pointed criticism for Andre Soukhamthath. He wasn’t the only one. Soukhamthath would almost certainly have won by TKO if he had kept the fight standing in the third round.
You blew it soukamtoghhhdbshbssj

That guy is the dumbest fighter I’ve ever seen, he actually thought he won

Leslie Smith knows how to appeal to what matters to Sean O’Malley.
Congratulations! But you’re still not getting paid what you are worth for your fights and for how much attention you bring to the UFC. Authorization cards are at https://t.co/2ge9mLExJX and they only take a few minutes to sign online. Signing shit got weed legal @SugaSeanMMA
