Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight!
Welcome to Midnight Mania!
While speaking with Ariel Helwani on his MMA show, Lightweight contender Al Iaquinta was asked about two-time opponent Kevin Lee and his return to the 155 lbs. division. Never one to mince words, Iaquinta immediately ripped into his former foe, mostly attacking his intelligence and ego.
Check it out below:
“There’s no reason why Kevin Lee isn’t a world champion, except…”

For those who cannot view the video, Iaquinta says that, “That guy (Lee) is shot… you can tell he’s never going to be good because of his attitude, the way he sees things. No one gives a shit about him coming down to Lightweight. He’s like ‘You know what, Khabib impressed me this weekend, I’m going to come down to Lightweight and I think I can help out Georges St. Pierre in case they fight.’ Like bro, shut the f*ck up.” Iaquinta also adds that a “brain transplant is the only way he’ll ever become a good fighter” as Lee “never learns his lesson.”
Overall, this makes for a pretty entertaining “Raging Al” rant, and I would expect a response for Kevin Lee sooner than later. Even though Iaquinta is up 2-0 in their beef, don’t be surprised if we see a rubber match at some point — the two just cannot help but hate each other.

The super fight that never happened…
This past weekend at the Olympia Expo in Las Vegas, Anderson Silva and Georges St-Pierre appeared at the Limitless brand booth and posed for a face off.
Such a bummer we never saw this fight while GSP and Anderson were on top. pic.twitter.com/XZ0VOAUEjf

I watched the whole video strictly to see if “Platinum” fell.
In the following video, Chandler combines two of my least favorite workouts into something that looks quite miserable.
Who wins this weekend between Rodriguez’s flashy kicks and Stephens’ clubbing hooks?

This video produces the same feeling of frustration I get from watching a sand mandala wiped away.
Midnight Music: RIP to Ric Ocasek, who was the front man of brilliant new wave group The Cars as well as producer of albums like Weezer’s Blue Album and Nada Surf’s High/Low. One of the greats in pop songwriting!
Sleep well Maniacs! More martial arts madness is always on the way.
