Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight
Welcome to Midnight Mania! Tonight, Khabib Nurmagomedov is back and looking for a title fight, Chiesa will headline the UFC’s venture into Oklahoma, Arianny Celeste is the first MMA ring girl to break a million dollars, Combate Americas taunts the UFC, knockouts, videos, and much more.
Insomnia
Have you been burned one too many times by the promise of a Khabib Nurmagomedov fight? Well, better get some salve, because the Russian wrestler is back.
Per his manager, Khabib Nurmagomedov has visited physicians, health is “good.” Ramadan starts end of May. Looking for title fight Aug/Sept.

With the doctor’s clearance, Khabib will wait out Ramadan, then presumably begin training. If the UFC brass can’t get Nate Diaz to fight Tony Ferguson, “El Cucuy” is probably still the man he will fight- as long as Khabib can stay away from the tiramisu this time.
Bobs and Weaves
Michael Chiesa and Kevin Lee will headline UFC Fight Night 112 in Oklahoma. That’s a great scrap, and combined with a host of other quality bouts, including Penn vs. Siver, the Oklahoma card is shaping up to be great TV.
Did you know Arianny Celeste is a millionaire? Not from her UFC salary though- according to sources, UFC ring girls are believed to only make a paltry $20,000 a year. She has instead boosted her income with sponsorships like the supplements she advertises below. Although recently reported by outlets like Maxim, this isn’t breaking news, seeing as she has apparently been a millionaire since 2012. But it still gives you Maniacs an excuse to look at her racy Instagram page:
Fabricio Werdum is going to finish his trilogy with Alastair Overeem at UFC 213 in Vegas. Let’s hope he brings his all-in style with him this time.
Yeah, Mark Hunt’s new tattoo is actually really awesome.
Gunnar Nelson getting in on that fast car life like his teammate McGregor… speaking of which, did McGregor get his car towed recently??
I see you, Nate.
Dang, son. Former UFC owner and current Combate Americas headman Campbell McLaren blasts the UFC for pulling out of Mexico and South America.

Looks like Bigfoot Silva is going to keep making the big bucks by fighting in shady Russian promotions. At least he’s well-compensated…

I wish the University of Houston offered this MMA writing class because nothing has ever been more applicable to my life.
