Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight
Welcome to Midnight Mania!
I guess Floyd misses the limelight.
With McGregor pointedly turning down his offer to allow the Irishman to train in his gym for the upcoming Khabib Nurmagomedov fight at UFC 229 (why?), Mayweather has turned to social media to roast McGregor one more time. He posted a photo of himself landing a punishing blow on the Irishman with the caption
“Easiest 9 figures I ever made! All work is what #mayweatherpromotions #TMT #TBE”
All this latest drama has done is remind me how thankful I am McGregor is preparing for a legitimate high-level mixed martial arts contest and not another crossover carnival boxing event. UFC 229 goes down October 6 in Las Vegas.
Speaking of which, this Khabib vs. McGregor promo might just give you chills.
Roasting Mayweather is all too easy.
McGregor himself can’t help reminding us all how easy it would have been to beat Floyd under MMA rules
Insomnia
Sparring day at Alliance MMA with Dominick Cruz looks intense
It’s a shame there isn’t more footage of Sugar Ray Robinson, the man may have been the greatest ever.
Curtis Blaydes posted this over the weekend and for some reason has been getting largely negative replies. I don’t really understand why.
Fans think they wanna hear real shit from fighters till they bring up their kids. Fans wanna see us crack our skulls open with no regards for our sons & daughters they just wanna see bloodshed who cares if we can read to our kids when they are 7 or 8

Now I need to try these. Thanks, John Wayne Parr.
Mike Perry has been getting a lot of crap, not for his continuous use of the N-word, but for his footwork and technique on the pads here.
I never knew Mirko Cro Cop said this about Chael Sonnen.

This might be wild speculation, but I would be interested to know where he heard it. It wouldn’t be too surprising to learn Dana and Company pulled some strings behind the scenes, because the NLRB did approve the case, then suddenly reversed their decision and sent Leslie Smith’s case to DC for review.
Apparently @realDonaldTrump bailed out @danawhite and the @ufc by burying @LeslieSmith_GF‘s complaint to the National Labor Relations Board AFTER her claim HAD ALREADY BEEN APPROVED by the NLRB Region 4 and held that fighters are employees. This shit is hard to believe.

Yves Edwards may have retired, but he’s still got it.
Remember this insanity?

Speaking of welterweights, what are the odds Darren Till gets to use his ground-and-pound against Tyron Woodley?

Justin Gaethje and Trevor Wittman are a remarkable coach-fighter duo, and this was a perfect moment.
@TrevorWittman is the best coach in the world. He knows with ones victory comes another’s demise. He will celebrate with me when he makes sure my opponent is ok, that is what you see here. #respect #mma #ufc https://t.co/mhL0JMl0Wh

Help my dog walk again
My dog (more accurately my girl’s dog, but she’s mine too) threw her hip out Saturday. This is pretty serious for her; without surgery very soon, she won’t ever be able to walk again, and with an artery exposed the vet told us it’s a ticking death sentence. She’s ten, and up to that has been very active and playful. I set up a GoFundMe. If you can donate anything, I would appreciate it.
