Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight
Welcome to Midnight Mania!
He might not be doing much media in the lead-up to UFC 229, but Conor McGregor has been active on social media, trolling Khabib Nurmagomedov, announcing the whiskey meant to make him ‘Diddy bread on already Diddy bread’, and releasing closely edited highlight reels of ‘The Notorious’ going HAM on training partners in the gym.
He also took time out of his day over the weekend to give some advice to a fan who wanted to know “what in the hell are you wearin these days”
In response, McGregor proceeded to plug the brands he is wearing lately, which included Prada, Dolce and Gabbana, Burberry, and Versace (Donatella Versace “can do no wrong”), and his own clothing line, August McGregor. He made sure to refer the fan to his style page for more updates and details.
Then he got savage.

The combination of savage verbal warfare with relentless self-branding perfectly encapsulates the promotional tactics that have made McGregor who he is today- along with, of course, his ability to back it up when locked in the cage. He puts that reputation on the line again on October 6, when he returns from a two-year MMA absence to face terrifying lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
He also explained why his sparring partner was wearing tape around his head like a Karate Kid sweatband- to keep his ear (presumably the ear not pictured) from exploding. SBG is currently full of “Gorillas in war zone mode”.

Insomnia
Drakkar Klose trolls Bobby Green
This technique would work for Hiro Nakamura, or the Flash, or Quicksilver. You probably should disregard it totally.
Slick moves
Terrion Ware has drawn four tough fights and is better than his record indicates. Credit to him for being honest about his strengths and shortcomings.
100 percent sure I will be cut from the UFC 0-4 is not how i pictured my UFC career I got some glaring holes in my grappling game which then affects my striking but I hesitate worrying too much about the takedown at 32 I am far from done and changes will be made to fix things

Tito Ortiz, man. I don’t really want to think about the sport-related neurological issues that might cause this, so I’ll just appreciate how funny it is.

Thiago Santos, ladies and gentlemen
Raised in the “City of God,” trained in Capoeira and bred to be a Brazilian army paratrooper, Thiago “Marreta” Santos is as kick-ass as they come. Ahead of his LHW debut, remember he tied Anderson Silva for the most knockouts in UFC MW history (8). Here they are in order: pic.twitter.com/K1l0i37APw
