Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight!
Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Earlier today, another video emerged of UFC Welterweight Mike Perry flattening some random citizen outside of a bar in Lubbock, Texas. It’s not the first time Perry has unleashed his heavy hands on a non-fighter, which is a really terrible look for the athlete and promotion.
At the moment, details are still scarce but have slowly been leaking out. Per a recent report from MMAFighting, the police revealed that three victims were involved in the alleged assault. At the moment, Perry faces the charge of a Class A assault, a misdemeanor that could result in a fine and court appearance.
In addition, TMZ was able to get in touch with the restaurant, Table 82. The restaurant confirmed that Perry did not pay his bill after the incident, and they are considering pursuing a theft charge. The restaurant also released a statement, “Pending the criminal investigation, we prefer not to comment further because one of the victims was an employee of our company who had asked Mr. Perry to leave.”
Witnesses in the restaurant also reported that Perry was drinking berry mojitos prior to the violent escalation. Perry did take to Twitter to maintain his silence.

Currently, it’s unclear just what consequences Perry will face for his recent actions, particularly since UFC has yet to release a statement. It’s possible that Perry suffers a minor fine and the incident is brushed away, but Perry could potentially see jail time or be released from the roster if the situation goes against him.
Stay tuned.

In case anyone is concerned, Georges St. Pierre may be retired, but he’s still absurdly athletic!

The end result may have been ugly, but Curtis Blaydes’ kickboxing progress did impress me in the brief moments he struck with Alexander Volkov … prior to the gassing.
Big John McCarthy adopting an opossum may not technically be newsworthy, but … people need to know.
Kamaru Usman and Michael Chandler’s wrestling scrambles are always FIRE!

A brutally timed elbow as his opponent bounced off the ropes:
This may have been somewhat accidental, but this is one of the cooler timed knockouts I’ve seen.
With a 6??5??% TKO/KO rate, it’s no surprise that @AJ_MMA consistently brings the heat.

Random Land
A creepy fish!
Midnight Music: New York hip-hop trio Flatbush Zombies produced one of my favorite mixtapes in BetterOffDead. A combination of acid and shock rap, the wordplay is equal parts over-the-top aggression and hilarity. Also, Meechy Darko has a top-tier rap voice.
