Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight!
Welcome to Midnight Mania!
This is a pretty odd one. Apparently, prior to Greg Hardy’s appearance at UFC Moscow over the weekend, Heavyweight legend Randy Couture sent “Prince of War” a video wishing him luck. Specifically, Couture sent him a “Cameo” video, which is a website where fans can pay for celebrity shoutouts.
See for yourself:

I have one serious question, and in truth, it’s one that can be applied to just about every Cameo video: who paid for this nonsense? Perhaps Hardy is a massive fan of Couture and wanted some additional motivation ahead of his match up? Did a friend or family member do this as a gift? Is this a prank from some MMA fan with cash to burn?
I don’t have the answers. Regardless, Couture handled the strange scenario with class, as one would expect of “Captain America.” If you’d like your own shoutout from Couture, it seems he can be booked for $75 — 50 bucks cheaper than Chuck Liddell!
Insomnia
I love Nate Diaz, but the man is a touch out of his mind.

Despite all my Instagram stalking, I was unaware Thiago Santos and Yana Kunitskaya were dating! It’s good to see “Marreta” up and moving after his disastrous knee injuries.
Dillashaw’s conditioning routine is pretty wild.
EXTREMELY decorated wrestler, Bo Nickal, working on his hands.
Ryan Bader and his wife with the dope cosplay!
Darren Till training Tyson Fury is not a twist I expected, but it’s one I’m here for!
Max Holloway has cleared out at least 50% of relevant Featherweights by now.
Slips, rips, and KO clips
You just have to love a fighter who seems ready to jump into the air at any instant.

A very accurate pair of check hooks ended this one:

Random Land
Let’s begin the week with a pleasant view!
Midnight Music: Aside from MAGDALENE, I’ve been listening to a whole lot of Ariel Pink the last few days.
Sleep well Maniacs! More martial arts madness is always on the way.
