Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight
Welcome to Midnight Mania!
The UFC is looking to book Valentina Shevchenko versus Jessica Eye for the flyweight championship this June at UFC 238, according to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto. UFC 238 is slated for June 8 in Chicago’s United Center.
Shevchenko won the flyweight title in a showdown with former strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk, after the UFC stripped Nicco Montano when Montano ended up in the hospital after a bad weight cut. Shevchenko’s only losses in the UFC are two close decisions to bantamweight and featherweight champion Amanda Nunes.
Jessica Eye is also a bantamweight transplant, and has won three straight since dropping to 125, though two of those wins are by split decision. In a young, still-growing division, Eye has earned a title shot as much as anyone. Originally training out of the same gym as Stipe Miocic in Ohio, Eye recently relocated to Las Vegas.
Shevchenko looks prepared already.

He was suspended for this awesome throw, and rightly so. Violence has no place in hockey.
This player has been suspended by his own team for this garbage.

Apparently this finish was allowed to stand
Alain Ngalani was stretchered out, I assume. Yeesh. Mauro Cerilli landed a couple brutal grounded knees. #ReignOfValor pic.twitter.com/m8b3LtiQHK

Ouch
This short elbow from Zebaztian Kadestam at the end of R2 seemed to completely take Georgiy Kichigin out of the fight. Didn’t answer the bell in R3. Kadestam and still. #ReignOfValor pic.twitter.com/3oHazQyjIO

Random Land
This Presidency is wild in ways totally unconnected with where on the political spectrum you fall. This is definitely not Melania! Some of the best replies to this tweet include “Happy Interchangeable Women’s Day” and “The fact that they’re holding hands was the giveaway.”
so everyone has just accepted that they use a fake melania sometimes https://t.co/HEy9UJgUEd
