Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight
Welcome to Midnight Mania!
A video made the rounds over the weekend of the Easter Bunny landing some intense ground-and-pound, helping a woman in an altercation with a man on the sidewalk in violent fashion. UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis was among those who saw the video and shared it.
A witness told an NBC affiliate that the man in the altercation had spit on the black woman prior to the start of the scuffle. The man in the bunny suit was named Antione Mcdonald, and he explained his goal in intervening to NBC affiliate WESH:
“So I got over there so I could break up the fight, and with me trying to break up the fight, he got on top of her and hit her, so I had to try a different method, basically, to break up the fight, which actually worked,”
It is a strange and wonderful world we live in, one with an Internet that allows us to see so much of it in real time, that it is impossible to even remember every crazy event that crosses our awareness. This will probably be forgotten in a few week’s time. Let us appreciate it while it is in front of us.
Insomnia
Joe Benavidez explains why he never turned in TJ Dillashaw even though he had figured out TJ was cheating.
. What is the honorable thing to do? Drug test him and suspend him?? Not much you can do as a teammate.
I knew TJ long enough to see his true colors and I didn’t bash him or talk shit, just distanced myself best as I could. (Been 2 -3 years since we even spoke)

Up until today, John Fitch apparently had a win in Mexico under the name ‘John Fish’. Sherdog fixed it today after he brought it to the world’s attention.
Jon Fitch says he actually has 32 wins not 31. Says he fought in Mexico and when the promoter called in the results, he said John Fish.
Says if you look at Sherdog you will find it ??#HelwaniShow pic.twitter.com/8pBidMjVsA

Luke Rockhold is feeling very good about his choice to move to light heavyweight.
Israel Adesanya and Gordon Ramsay in a single person would be one formidable fighter.

You can’t improve on perfection, which is what this guy is serving up with his Sherlock Holmes-style slow-motion knife defense.
I’m pretty sure Nicco Montano hit this sweep on Antonina Shevchenko
Hey if it works, it works

Kyoji Horiguchi has won 12 straight fights. I cannot wait to see him be the first to defend a title in a different organization when he rematches Darrion Caldwell for the Bellator bantamweight strap.
Kyoji Horiguchi (27-2) ratchets his reign of terror to 12 straight bouts, brutalizing Ben Nguyen in less than three minutes! Now 9-0 in RIZIN with seven finishes, the JMMA king owns 14 knockouts. #RIZIN15 #RIZINFF #RIZIN2019 pic.twitter.com/ScxEmIHAZJ
