Bringing you the weird and wild from the world of MMA each and every weeknight
Welcome to Midnight Mania!
USADA hasn’t had much of anything to say about the Jon Jones case, which seems to have dragged on with no end in sight. But recently they did feel compelled to say that they didn’t take any bribes to resolve it.
Via MMAJunkie.com:
In a written statement, USADA spokesperson Danielle Eurich told MMAjunkie, “In relation to some media and social media comments we have observed, USADA wishes to clarify that under no circumstances do we receive payments as part of the resolution of cases.”
Colby Covington claimed a few months ago that it was ‘probably’ the case that Jones’ management team was looking to pay off USADA, possibly with involvement from the UFC.
“You never know the UFC’s side, they want to do business and make money so if he’s available, and USADA clears him, then they’re gonna want to do business and put him back out there to fight and make that company money,” he said. “They’ve got a $4 billion installment on that loan to pay back, so they’re gonna do whatever it takes to make money and pay back that loan.”
Jones has been fairly active on social media recently, posting videos of frequent training that have sparked rumors of an imminent comeback. However, other than denying any reports of bribery, USADA had no comments on any decision regarding his suspension.

People are so funny. Constantly putting me down. Every time I win it’s because I’m way bigger than every1 in my division. It has nothing to do with the fact that I’ve wrestled since I was 3yrs old or the fact that I work my ass off every day to be successful at my craft.
