Zak Cummings will no longer be competing this weekend on the UFC’s St. Louis card. He was scheduled to face Thiago Alves on the Fox Sports 1 prelims, but has been removed from the card due to injury.
According to a reply Cummings posted on Twitter, he hit his head on a handrail and “cracked my fucking skull.” Hopefully he’s not being literal, but it must have been a serious knock to take him out of the fight, and he says he’s “absolutely fucking devastated.” Cummings has won his last two fights and was looking to make it three in a row against the veteran Thiago Alves.
