Former World Extreme Cagefighting bantamweight champ Miguel Torres (38-3) will make his octagon debut on the Super Bowl weekend UFC 126 event in Las Vegas. He’ll be facing fellow WEC fighter Antonio Banuelos (18-6) with the bout taking place on the pay-per-view broadcast.

Torres bounced back from two straight losses by submitting Charlie Valencia at the WEC 51 event in September. The former champ had been on a 17 fight tear, including winning the WEC bantamweight title, until he lost the title to Brian Bowles at WEC 42. He would then suffer his fist back-to-back loss against Joseph Benavidez in his next fight at WEC 47.
Banuelos, another longtime WEC veteran, is 1-1 in his last two fights having earned a unanimous decision over Chad George at WEC 51. The loss was to Scott Jorgensen at WEC 48 who defeated Banuelos by unanimous decision. The WEC vet is 9-5 with the promotion.
