Mike Jackson Says He Wants To End CM Punk’s MMA Journey
Welterweight fighter Mike Jackson wants to fight CM Punk. If he beats Mickey Gall at UFC Fight Night 82, he’ll likely get his wish. If Gall wins, he gets Punk. Jackson talked to MMAjunkie to promote his UFN 82 bout with Gall.
“I understand the outcome could be I get ‘Punk,’ and I’m well aware of that,” Jackson said. “That’s the ultimate goal, because that will take the ‘Mike the Truth’ brand to another level.”
“The MMA fans, they don’t want CM Punk here. They don’t like the idea. When I read the story myself, I was taken back a little bit. But I understand this is a business. You bring in Punk, from a business standpoint, to make money. But I’m the guy that will come in here and end that journey real quick with one punch.”
UFN 82 takes place this Saturday in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
