“Breaking: UFC working on a fun one for a UFC Fight Night on June 27. Mickey Gall (@mickeygall) vs. Mike Perry (@PlatinumPerry) is in the works, per sources.”
Perry, 28, made waves in May when he revealed that he had ditched his cornermen for his girlfriend after leaving Fusion XL Academy in Ocoee, Florida.
“I feel like I never really gotten advice. I feel like people just sound like Charlie Brown’s teacher in the corner. … They don’t even know what the (expletive) to say because they wouldn’t go in there and do what the (expletive) they’re talking about. I don’t really know how the coaching (expletive) works. It doesn’t really matter.”
Perry (13-6 MMA, 6-6 UFC) is 1-3 in his last four bouts and hasn’t fought since his brutal TKO loss to Geoff Neal at UFC 245.
Gall (6-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC ) on the other hand, is back in the winners column after rebounding from his TKO loss to Diego Sanchez with a unanimous decision over Salim Touahri at UFC on ESPN 5. The 28-year-old is 2-2 in his last four fights.
UFC on ESPN 10 is expected to take place on June 27 at the UFC Apex Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
