Mike Tyson dropped some breaking news during a recent episode of his podcast.

If you thought Mike Tyson’s ring return last November against Roy Jones Jr. was a one-off, this piece of news may baffle you in all sorts of ways. During a recent episode of his podcast, the 54-year-old legend announced his comeback at the “end of May” at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

USA Today’s Boxing Junkie also confirmed the news.

“End of May. Where you fought,” Tyson told guest Canelo Alvarez. “May 29, something like that. May 31.”

Tyson made his comeback against Jones after a 15-year absence. He says he felt “better” than anticipated but admitted he held back a little bit. In this planned return, “Iron” Mike intends to go all out.

“I felt better than I anticipated,” Tyson told UFC president Dana White and Zab Judah during a previous episode of his podcast. “I thought I would be a little nervous than I was. And I was really relaxed.

“I felt like, ‘Wow, I could do some more, punch more combinations. I could do this, do that…’ And I said, ‘Wow, this is interesting,’ then I said. ‘Wow, I want to do it again. And I want to do it with someone I could go really a little bit all out on.’

“It made me interested in wanting to do it again.”

Judah confirmed that Tyson has been in the gym, “banging stuff up” and “looking good.”

Tyson didn’t drop any names, nor did he give any hints. But as former rival Evander Holyfield stated in late 2020, a trilogy fight is “going to happen.”
