Watch highlights of Mikey Garcia’s unanimous decision win over Robert Easter to unify the WBC and IBF lightweight titles.
Mikey Garcia (39-0, 30 KOs) became the unified WBC and IBF lightweight champion after a convincing win over Robert Easter Jr (21-1, 14 KOs) in front of 12,560 fans in Los Angeles, California. Garcia scored a knockdown in round 3, and completely overwhelmed Easter throughout the second-half of the contest.
Up next for Garcia? He wants to do something bold and go up two weight classes and take on IBF welterweight champ Errol Spence Jr (24-0, 21 KOs). Spence has mutual interest in the bout, and if all goes well, we could see this matchup in December.
You can watch highlights of the fight (and the other undercard bouts) at the top of the page, as well as footage from the tweets below.

Garcia lands a left hand after the right hand misses but can’t really follow up. Easter gets the fight back to center ring and flashes his range with a jab. Easter tries to double a left hook to the body and head but it doesn’t land all that clean. Garcia tries to fight once he gets Easter on the ropes but can’t get his range. Now Garcia lands a solid left hook that puts Easter down! Garcia tries to follow up after Easter gets up but the bell rings! Garcia 10-8.
