Stipe Miocic issues a response to Daniel Cormier’s recent comments about him.
Elite UFC heavyweights Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier were cordial to each other during their coaching stints at the 27th season of The Ultimate Fighter in 2018. However, things began to sour between them when “DC” opted to face Derrick Lewis at UFC 230 last November, much to the dismay of Miocic.
Cormier is still looking at his options for his second title defense, but clarified that he isn’t interested in rematching Miocic anymore. The current heavyweight champion laid out three reasons for the change of heart, where he called out Miocic for being “entitled,” and the former champion has issued a response.
.@dc_mma my entitled ass offered to fight you at UFC230 on Nov 3 at MSG. You fought Lewis, while I was fighting fires. https://t.co/VU0OTgcP7s

Miocic, who lost via first-round knockout at UFC 226 in July 2018, has been adamant about getting another crack at Cormier. He is even willing to make it happen before Cormier’s intended retirement date this March, but according to AKA head coach Javier Mendez, these plans may be put on hold, and Cormier may fight “two or three more times.”
