UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic will battle former division titleholder Daniel Cormier at the upcoming UFC 252 pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for Sat., Aug. 15, 2020 at a venue and city to be named.
And he’ll do it as the -125 favorite.
That’s according to our fiscal friends over at BetOnline (www.BetOnline.ag), who pegged Cormier as the +105 underdog. No question those lines will shift — in both directions — as money starts to trickle in on this titanic tilt.
After getting stopped by “DC” in the first round of their UFC 226 headliner, Miocic (19-3) bounced back and avenged his loss to the Olympian with a thunderous finish at UFC 241, racking up a serious eye injury in the process. Win or lose, Cormier (22-2, 1 NC) is expected to retire after the curtain drops on Aug. 15.
More bouts are expected to be announced for UFC 252 in the coming weeks.
