Former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic will play an important role during the weigh-ins between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley.

UFC president Dana White has been an omnipresent figure of fighter face-offs. And while he may take some stray shots in the process, some credit does go to the bossman for preventing full-blown unruly incidents from breaking out.

And now that things have gotten more heated between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley, someone qualified will need to play that role for the post-weigh-in face-off. Apparently, event organizers already tapped somebody to take on the task, and it’s none other than former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic.

Miocic himself confirmed it to ESPN’s Marc Raimondi.

“Worst guy to get chosen,” he jokingly said.

“I’m actually pretty excited about that when they asked me to do it. I’m like, ‘Hell yeah!’ It would be fun to do and someone’s got to make sure that no one does anything frisky.”

Speaking of Dana White, Miocic seemed to have mended fences with the UFC exec after speculations arose about him possibly jumping ship.

“We’re going to have a sit down here in September with Dana,” Miocic told MMA Junkie in another interview. “We’ll figure it out from there. … We’ll hopefully figure that out in the next month. We’ll get there. Dana has been texting me and everything is in negotiations.”

Paul and Woodley will weigh in on Saturday, August 28 at 5 PM ET/2 PM PT. It will be streamed on both FITE TV and YouTube.
