Shooto 28
Sat Mar 10 6:00PM ET
One of the world’s oldest MMA organizations comes to GFL.tv live on March 10 as Shooto makes its debut with Shooto 28 Brazil in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil at the Hebraica Club Arena. The 7-bout card is highlighted by some of Brazil’s top fighters and this event is sure to keep the high standing that Shooto has amassed throughout the world since its first event in Japan in 1986 and has since branched off throughout the planet.
In the main event, Carlos “Cachorrao” Eduardo (7-2) from Dragon Fight/ Nova Uniao fights Angel Orellano (12-2) from Brazilian Fight Team in a in light heavyweight battle (205lb/93kg). The bout features two of the top grapplers in Brazil and both are UFC caliber right now. This main event has all of the makings of a true classic as Cachorrao and Orellano like to finish fights and employ an aggressive fighting style that looks for submission after submission until finally finding and executing a fight ending hold. Because both men are so well versed on the ground this could also turn into a wild brawl on their feet as maybe the Jiu Jitsu will cancel itself out on the ground. Either way, this bout will highlight a stacked card.
In the co-main event, Hemerson “Tigrinho” Hubaldo (1-1) battles Rivaldo Junior (7-2) in a matchup of two up and coming Brazilian prospects. Tigrinho comes into the fight as a relative unknown on the global stage, but his proficiency on the ground and in the standup game is legendary in Brazil. Tirgrinho has many fights to his credit, but most have been in smaller organizations that have not shown up in the record books. Nevertheless he is an experienced fighter. Tigrinho is looking to steal the show with his performance against Rivaldo Junior. Junior has over a decade in the game and has won his last two fights in impressive fashion. Always ready for a good scrap, Junior will look to test Tigrinho’s chin early.
Shooto 28 marks a defining moment for the organization. The international federation is now accessible to MMA fans on a worldwide basis on GFL.tv and for fans and historians of MMA that’s a great thing. If you’ve never seen Shooto before, order this iPPV on March 10 now and witness one of the foundational MMA organizations in the world live and exclusively via the GFL Combat Sports Network.
White Collar MMA Championships Asia
Thu Mar 8 7:00AM ET
City Fight Club presents White Collar MMA Championship – Asia on March 8 at the Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre (KITEC) Rotunda 2 in Hong Kong. The 10 hybrid card is highlighted by 4 MMA title bouts! This card also featured boxing, and Muay Thai, so it’s a must see for any fan of the combat sports. White Collar events are unique in that they are between business professionals, but don’t let that fool you, working a 9 to 5 behind a desk give these combatants plenty of pent up frustration that they are just waiting to take out on someone. This one of a kind Black Tie Charity Event is something you will never forget.
In the main event, Eva “The Scorpion Queen” Rona battles Katie “Ave a Go” Lowe for the White Collar MMA Women’s Featherweight Championship. These two women look to do damage to each other that will make their colleagues take note and change the dynamics of the boardroom for years to come.
In the co-main event, Brad “Vanilla Gorilla” Robinson fights Ben “Boom Time” Hartwell for the White Collar MMA Heavyweight Championship. Robinson is a beast of a man that will tip the scales at close to 250 lb. Hartwell is a bit smaller and should have the advantage when it comes to cardio conditioning. Expect these two to throw everything but the kitchen sink at each other. They won’t stop until one of them falls.
White Collar MMA Championship – Asia is where the boardroom meets the cage. These competitors know how to throw down in a staff meeting, see who will rise up their game and do the same in the unforgiving world of combat sports, order now.
Rumble at the Roseland 62
Sat Mar 10 10:00PM ET
Full Contact Fighting Federation (FCFF) returns March 10 to Portland, Oregon as it presents Rumble at the Roseland 62. The exciting card is loaded with the top fighters in the Pacific Northwest and will have 2 title fights! FCFF has been on a rampage lately and the 62nd installment is sure to keep the streak going.
In the main event, Travis Sue (4-0) fights Damon Jordan (3-1) for the Interim Featherweight Title. All of Sue’s wins have come via first round stoppages either KO or submission. The undefeated Sue is looking to finish Jordan in the same impressive fashion. Jordan will be Sue’s toughest test to date as Jordan all three of his victories have come via submission and he is also a champion in another organization. If these two hit the mat, expect some great transitions, submission attempts and maybe even a tapout. Don’t blink as these two 145 lb fighters will be in a barnburner.
In the co-main event, Brysen French (2-0) battles John Bartlett (7-2) for the Middleweight Championship. French has one win by KO and one by submission, both in the first round. Bartlett is the more experienced fighter and will look to take French into the championship rounds. French has never had his cardio tested and that could be his weakness. Of course, he has never needed to show it as he has beaten his two opponents inside of one round. Bartlett is the reigning champion, a title he won at Rumble in the Roseland 57 via TKO in the second round in May of 2011. Bartlett has strung together 4 wins in a row and is hitting his strike as a mixed martial artist now. Expect this bout to be fight of the night.
In other action, Damion Martindale (8-5) takes on Darren O’Donnell (3-1) in a heavyweight superfight. Both fighters pack quite a punch and will be swinging for the fences to impress the crowd and show that they are the alpha male in FCFF. Don’t blink.
You won’t find more BANG for your buck so order this thrilling event. Be sure to catch all of the action LIVE on March 10 as Rumble at the Roseland 62 brings down the house on pay-per-view exclusively at GFL.tv.
