We already knew the main event of World Series of Fighting 23 on Sept. 18 featured a rematch of the greatest fight in company history, as Justin Gaethje will rematch Luis Palomino with Gaethje’s lightweight title on the line.
Now we know the rest of the main card for the NBCSN-televised event in Phoenix as WSOF announced the remainer of the main card on Thursday.
In a bantamweight battle, Jackson’s MMA fighter Timur Valiev (9-1) will square off with Tito Jones (11-7). Valiev is 3-0 in WSOF; while Jones, of Sacramento, has won four of his past five heading into his WSOF debut.
At lightweight, veteran Brian Foster (22-7) has his 30th pro bout, as he meets unbeaten prospect LaRue Burley (6-0). Foster had a four-fight win streak snapped by Jake Shields at WSOF 17; Burley, a former Bellator competitor, has four career finishes.
Previously announced for the NBCSN card was middleweight champion David Branch vs. Teddy Holder and Ben Fodor, aka Phoenix Jones, against Roberto Young.
