Hindsight is 20/20 but it looks like Brian Stann was ahead of the game back in August.
Stann tweeted a not-so-blind item following the main event between Michael Bisping and Cung Le at UFC Fight Night: Macau, referencing his belief that all was not Kosher with the former Strikeforce middleweight champion. Bisping stopped Le in the fourth round of a one-sided affair, apparently to the delight of Stann.
It didn’t pay to cheat for once, good start to the day.
— Brian Stann (@BrianStann) August 23, 2014
Speculation turned to fact Tuesday with news that Le had tested positive for excess levels of Human Growth Hormone (HGH) in a post-fight drug test. Bisping had requested the additional advanced testing that undoubtedly brought about Le’s result, but he gave his opponent the benefit of the doubt throughout fight week.
@DEVOURED85 unfortunately yes.
— michael (@bisping) October 1, 2014
Here’s how the rest of the MMA world reacted to the news:
LOL at Cung Le testing positive for HGH after his last fight. Thanks, UFC but we didn’t need a test to tell us what we already knew.
— Ben Askren (@Benaskren) October 1, 2014
Another one on the needle. Only 9 months. Peace out Le. Don’t come back.
— Cole Miller (@colemillerATT) October 1, 2014
Another fighter on Hgh it really makes me sick! All the guys with money & no godly morals are on the fountain of youth recovery juice….
— Diego Sanchez UFC (@DiegoSanchezUFC) October 1, 2014
Thankfully testing is getting better & better. “@TimEchols1: @MMAjunkie @kennyflorian I thought HGH was hard to test for?”
— Kenny Florian (@kennyflorian) October 1, 2014
I’m sick of guys failing drug test, they need to be cut, knowingly cheating in the our sport & keeping their job…. http://t.co/UzgAgVooU2
— Gerald Harris (@GHurricane) October 1, 2014
Well done @bisping, beating up Le like you did is even more impressive considering he was juiced up on HGH.
— Cathal Pendred (@PendredMMA) October 1, 2014
Anyone know where to get some HGH or other PEDs? I haven’t won a fight in 18 months and am getting worried…..
— Tom Lawlor (@FilthyTomLawlor) October 1, 2014
This is my every night supplements. And have a great night everybody http://t.co/XfImPS62NN pic.twitter.com/F9GojHucLG
— glover teixeira (@gloverteixeira) October 1, 2014
Wow…..A loss, plus you look silly for saying your pic was shredded bc you finished working out and had a sauna session lol. #Jokes
— Aljamain Sterling (@FunkMasterAljO) October 1, 2014
Damn PED-users. I’m not even gonna start….Bruuuhh!
— Aljamain Sterling (@FunkMasterAljO) October 1, 2014
I might need to start supplying the PEDs to my opponents w/a note that says, “Good luck! (Liam Neeson voice) I’m still gonna sub you!”
— Aljamain Sterling (@FunkMasterAljO) October 1, 2014
I find it ironic that EVERYONE calls out @bisping but hardly anyone fights him clean. He’s fought the most fighters that got busted for PEDs
— Ulysses Gomez (@uselessgomez) October 1, 2014
Strong fighters believe in themselves and their team. Study, develop techniques and build mental fortitude. #ThereAreNoShortCuts #FuckPEDs
— Brandon Gibson (@SixGunGibson) October 1, 2014
@bisping called it. We all knew @CungLe185 was juicing
— Matt Van Buren (@GutterMMA) October 1, 2014
Remember Cung le swearing he was natural? Lmfao sure bro.
— Cody Bollinger (@CodyBollinger) October 1, 2014
In response to @CungLe185 testing positive for HGH, let’s randomly test NFL players. Look at this guy’s before/after pic.twitter.com/ecl6hQNz7q
— Sean McCorkle (@BigSexyMcCorkle) October 1, 2014
Does anybody really actually believe that 99% of guys in the NFL aren’t roided to the gills? And the @ufc has a PED problem? Lol, get real

FANPOST OF THE DAY
Today’s Fanpost of the Day comes via UFC IS JOKE Sometimes.
Michael Bisping has every right to be upset!
So let me get this out there. I gave Mr Bisping little to no credit for the Cung Lee victory, and that’s because I believe Cung wasn’t even top 20 in MW division. He offered ZERO advancement for Bisping. And I can tell you now, Michael was a complete ass on twitter when I made it known he should beat a top 5 then brag about it.
That being said, we all knew something was up with Cung and looking as jacked as he was. And what he said just decimated the martial arts community. Saying things like I’m a martial artist I’m an honourable man etc etc. I’m quite hurt by this.
…
