A couple of key changes are taking place ahead of this month’s trip to “Fight Island” and MMA Fighting was kind enough to share the updates for both UFC Fight Island 7 on Jan. 16 and UFC Fight Island 8 on Jan. 20.
Wu Yanan will remain attached to UFC Fight Island 7 despite the loss of Bethe Correia, who was recently pulled from the lineup for emergency surgery. We can thank UFC newcomer Joselyne Edwards for being kind enough to step in on short notice to throw hands with the bantamweight “Mulan.”
As for UFC Fight Island 8, that card will say goodbye to the 135-pound rematch between veteran bruisers Pedro Munhoz and Jimmie Rivera, which is being boxed up and shipped out to the UFC 258 pay-per-view (PPV) event on Feb. 13 for reasons not yet understood.
