Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu Addresses Joint Session Of Congress

Elon Musk is talking about fighting Mark Zuckerberg again after pulling out of a proposed UFC fight in 2023.

Elon Musk is back at it again, calling out tech rival Mark Zuckerberg for a fight.

The Tesla and SpaceX owner was in Washington D.C. yesterday for Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to congress, and a reporter asked him about the long-rumored fight. Musk was already halfway out the door but returned to give his answer.

“I’ll fight Zuckerberg, any place, any time, and rules,” Musk declared.

That’s all well and good, but will he fight Zuckerberg in a cage, which is where the Facebook founder wants the scrap to take place? UFC CEO Dana White said a battle of the billionaires in the UFC was a very real thing that almost happened in 2023. But after a lot of back-and-forth, the fight fell apart.

You may have heard reports that it was Elon Musk’s mother that pulled the plug on the fight. While she did very publicly tell her boy not to fight and told press the fight was canceled, it was some sort of neck and back issue on Musk’s part that scrapped a proposed August 26th bout between the two.

“I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious and it’s time to move on,” Zuckerberg wrote on his Twitter clone Threads in mid-August. “I offered a real date. Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead.

“If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on.”

The Meta CEO blew out his knee training Brazilian jiujitsu last November but seems fully recovered at this point.

So nearly a year later, is Elon Musk healthy and finally ready to accept that fight? Or is he just talking big and under-delivering?
