Myles Jury out of UFC Fight Night in San Antonio
An injury has forced Myles Jury to withdraw from his June 28 fight against Abel Trujillo, according to his manager Ryan Hass.
FOXSports.com is reporting that the UFC attempted to book Frank Trevino, who was scheduled to fight Joe Ellenberger on the card, versus Trujillo, but once Trevino had to withdraw too, they also took Trujillo off the card. The UFC has since signed Johnny Case to fight Ellenberger.
Case (13-4) was helping Stephens prepare for the main event fight, so he was already in shape, according to Hass, who also represents Case. He has won his last seven fights in a row.
“[An] injury pushed Myles back at least a month,” Hass said, “with limited training next couple weeks. No biggie, though. Everything happens for a reason. All worked out great.”
Ellenberger (14-1), the twin brother of UFC veteran Jake Ellenberger, will be making his long-awaited UFC debut.
