Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov have spent the last week jawing at each other on social media. McGregor writing a long screed that basically boils down to “Stop being a bitch,” while Nurmagomedov once again brought up his submission win over the former lightweight champ.
Now Nate Diaz wants in on the fun.
I slapped you in your head you and your team didn’t do shit …
Live with that ur all pussies— Nathan Diaz (@NateDiaz209) January 13, 2019
”I slapped you in your head you and your team didn’t do s**t,” Nate wrote. “Live with that, ur all pussies.”
We imagine Diaz is referring to an altercation with Khabib and his team at a World Series of Fighting event in August of 2015. You can watch how that all escalated in this video:
As you can see, everything gets out of control when Nick throws a drink at one of Khabib’s entourage. Things got even crazier after Team Diaz and Team Khabib left the event and ran into each other on the Las Vegas strip. How does this stuff happen without everyone ending up under arrest? The city really takes its ‘What happens in Vegas’ credo seriously.
Afterwards, Nate threw up a video with similar wording to his more recent tweet.
”F**k that n***a Khabib,” he said. “He a bitch, he got slapped. Blam! Open hand slap! Blam, bitch ass.”
Nate has barely been heard from since his fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 230 fell apart due to a Poirier injury. While UFC president Dana White later revealed he had no plans cooking with either Diaz brother, Nate had a suggestion.
“I’ll just fight Khabib when he’s ready,” he told ESPN’s Ariel Helwani.
