The dust has settled and the smoke has cleared from the UFC Fight Night 147: “Till vs. Masvidal” mixed martial arts (MMA) event, which took place last Sat. (March 16, 2019) inside O2 Arena in London, England, topped by a pair of intriguing welterweight contests.

In the 170-pound main event, Jorge Masvidal established his place among the division’s elite by planting former title contender, Darren Till, midway through the second stanza (replay here). Earlier in the night, Dominick Reyes continued his march toward the 205-pound strap by edging out former light heavyweight title contender, Volkan Oezdemir (recap here).
Both “Gamebred” and “The Devastator” secured a No. 5 spot with their respective victories.

Rankings were generated by a voting panel made up of media members. The media members were asked to vote for who they feel are the top fighters in the UFC by weight-class and pound-for-pound. A fighter is only eligible to be voted on if they are in active status in the UFC. A fighter can appear in more than one weight division at a time. The champion and interim champion are considered to be in the top positions of their respective divisions and therefore are not eligible for voting by weight-class. However, the champions can be voted on for the pound-for-pound rankings.
