If all the stars and planets align and it so happens that later this year the new world heavyweight champion will face off against fellow belt holder Tyson Furythen Anthony Joshua may be the guy that you want to put your money on.

Anthony Joshua is odds on to beat Fury if the two were to face off. Joshua has clinched the prestigious IBF title after he beat Charles Martin in just the second round of their fight when the two met in the ring Saturday night in London. What this means in terms of future fixtures is that Anthony Joshua may just be in line to come up against now current WBA and WBO champion and fellow British rival and athlete Tyson Fury. In fact, this match up now seems inevitable and is only a matter of time. Despite the vast difference in experience, Joshua seems to be the favorite in the books of the bookies if and when this fight does take place.

Skybet has Joshua to win at 8/11, Fury has an even money chance and a draw or tie result is going to 33/1.

Another possible fixture that Anthony Joshua may be involved in is against David Haye, however, even in this case Joshua has the odds on beating Haye. Joshua winning is at 4/7 against Haye, a Haye victory is going at 11/8.

The promotional campaign team responsible for marketing Joshua claims that Joshua may have to make his very first defense title fight on the same night at Wembley Stadium but it seems growingly unlikely that this will be against David Haye, they added.

Another interesting thing to note is that not only is the young Anthony Joshua favored to win against Haye and Fury but is also the fore runner in terms of odds for winning the honorable BBC Sports Personality of the year award. This says a great lot about the kind of fights and potential that Joshua has shown at such a ripe age and he could, if he continues to perform this way, go down in the history books of boxing as one the best ever.
