Walker plans on fighting Junior’s big brother Justin after Tafa slapped him following their UFC 305 match in Perth, Australia.
Johnny Walker’s little big brother Valter Walker earned his first UFC win on Saturday night in Perth, Australia, submitting Junior Tafa with a heel hook in the first round.
It was a somewhat controversial win because Tafa didn’t tap — instead, his screams of pain as Walker wrenched his heel led to the referee stopping things, declaring it a win via verbal submission. That’s perfectly legit and by the book, but Tafa was so upset about the call he hounded Walker in the cage following the fight and even slapped his face (watch it all here).
At the UFC 305 post-fight press conference, Valter discussed his win and how he now wants to fight Junior Tafa’s older brother Justin Tafa next.
“If I [get] slept in the first round, I believe my brother come defense in name of our family,” Walker declared. “Now I want to see if his brother comes defense name of his family. If his brother, you come, fight with me as well, defense his little brother.”
“I’d fight next week with his brother,” he added. “His brother very fat, don’t need to cut weight. His brother could come in 230. I’d fight with him next week. Tomorrow, I fight him tomorrow. I don’t go home. Let’s fight, I’m ready. If right now, he wants fight right now, we fight right now.”
“Before the fight I say I come for you. Maybe there’s video of this.”
As for the stoppage, Walker was prepared to wreck Tafa’s leg if the referee hadn’t intervened.
“Yeah bro, if [the ref didn’t] stop, I break his foot, I take his foot home with me,” he said. “I break his foot. My coach say break. I go to broke. I go to broke, I don’t go to tap. I want he’s screaming. I go for broke his foot.”
Valter wasn’t impressed with Junior slapping his face after the match as an official had him restrained against the cage.

“Brooooo, he slap me in the face,” he exclaimed in anger. “In the fight he cannot slap me, but when guy holds my arms he slap my face! He’s like not man, no. I want to see if his brother [is a] man. Next one his brother, because motherf—er slap my face.”
“I never slap face of another man, bro. I have a kid, he have kid. He disrespect me. When I’m not ready, when guy holds my arms, he slap my face. What? This make him bitch. This make it ugly, no?”
The win puts Valter Walker at 12-1, and hopefully he ends up facing the 7-4 Justin Tafa next. The older Tafa brother’s last fight was a March decision loss to Karl Williams, so who knows, maybe this could come together fast in the coming weeks.
