When Nick Diaz starts talking, he starts letting out all of the family secrets, apparently.
During a recent sit-down on “The Jasta Show,” Diaz openly discussed many topics, including revealing a very interesting tidbit regarding his younger brother Nate Diaz. According to Nick, what Nate was smoking immediately after his rematch against Conor McGregor at UFC 202 wasn’t CBD oil like he claimed, but rather, it was straight up chronic what was occupying Nate’s vape pen.
“It doesn’t matter because he had already tested. They don’t let you go to the press conference until you’ve already pissed,” said Diaz. “That wasn’t CBD, he was smoking chronic. He was smoking Kush.”
Alrighty then.
Of course, there probably isn’t much the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) or United States Anti Doping Agency (USADA) can do about it now. Furthermore, Diaz declared that he was never much of a drinker until former UFC women’s Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey convinced him to drink a bottle of tequila with him.
“It didn’t sit right with me,” he said about drinking. “When I started out training, if I would go out and have some drinks it would always kill my game, or I was sick after two drinks and I wouldn’t get drunk,” he said via Champions.co. “It just didn’t sit well with me so I was like, ‘you know, I don’t have time to fool around with this.’ I just knocked it off, and I didn’t have any temptation to want to drink. I was like, ‘drinking is bad for you, it makes me feel like sh-t, and I have to train tomorrow. And, I have a fight coming up, always.’ So, I didn’t drink.”
He continues.
“Ronda Rousey came to my house and she was like, ‘mother f-cker, you need to loosen up,'” he recounted via Sports Joe. “She put a bottle of tequila in front of me, boom, slid it over on the table and was like, ‘hey, time for you to have a shot.’ I was like, ‘uhhh, alright. I’ll get drunk with you.'”
Of course, Diaz doesn’t count “Rowdy” as a bad influence, as he’s a big boy and could’ve easily declined the invite to catch a buzz.
“Naw, she’s great. I mean, who the fuck doesn’t drink in their twenties?” he said.
Diaz recently settled his issues with the aforementioned NSAC, and is all cleared to resume his combat career inside the Octagon, Which means he’s ready to start making that money again.
