“24k” will not be fighting bare knuckle.
Hannah Goldy is competing today (Sun., Dec. 10, 2023) at the UFC Fight Pass Invitational 5, taking place inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, against Jiu-Jitsu purple belt Amanda Mazza.
Goldy was released from the UFC during their October 2023 roster purge after going 1-4 in the promotion. In a recent interview with MMAMania.com, Goldy revealed she plans to return to the regional scene to earn her spot back with the promotion because she feels she got to the UFC too early.
“I would definitely like to get some regional fights and just kind of, like, build my confidence and build my skills against girls that aren’t UFC caliber because I’ve been trying to, like, become the best version of myself against the best girls in the world. And, like, I do believe that I got thrown into the UFC a bit early,” Goldy said.
There has been a recent trend of former UFC fighters moving to bare-knuckle boxing after their UFC career, but for Goldy, she isn’t interested even though Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) gave her an offer.
“So they’ve definitely approached me for sure. And I do enjoy watching Bare Knuckle so much, I do. I love it so much, I just it’s not for me,” Goldy said. “You know, like, my six-year-old punched me in the face with no gloves on a couple of weeks ago, and that was like the moment when I was, like, it’s solidified. I don’t think I’ll ever be doing bare knuckle.
I will go watch every single fight. I love Platnum Mike Perry. He’s the sh-t. But I don’t think I will ever be in it,” Goldy laughed. “I think I’m keeping the gloves on unless I’m doing Jiu-Jitsu or combat Jiu-Jitsu. I’m good there, too, but yeah.”
UFC Fight Pass Invitational 5 goes down today exclusively on UFC Fight Pass starting at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET
