Amanda Nunes is planning to defend both her UFC bantamweight and featherweight titles.

UFC women’s double champ Amanda Nunes will look to become the second UFC fighter to defend both her belts, as ‘The Lioness’ revealed at a recent press conference that she plans on returning to 145-pounds to defend the featherweight strap once she defends her bantamweight title against Holly Holm at UFC 239.

Nunes, who holds wins over the likes of Ronda Rousey and Cris Cyborg, said she plans to ‘keep making history’ by ruling both the bantamweight and featherweight thrones.

“For sure (I plan to) defend both,” Nunes told reporters at the recent UFC seasonal press conference during UFC 236 fight week in Atlanta, Georgia (via MMA Junkie). “I will defend my belt at 135 then go up and defend my belt after at 145. Keep making history. Holly’s the only champion, the former champion, that I don’t beat yet. She’s going to be the next.”

Asked whether or not she would be willing to rematch Cyborg when she moves back up to featherweight, Nunes, who knocked out Santos in the first round of their co-headlining title bout at UFC 232 to become the promotion’s first ever women’s two-division champ, said she is open to the idea.

“Honestly, I think about Holly now then we’ll see next,” Nunes said. “A (Cris) Cyborg rematch? Why not? We’ll see what’s next.”

As for now, Nunes hands her hands full with Holm. The Brazilian will defend her 135-pound title against ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ at the upcoming UFC 239 pay-per-view, set to take place on July 6 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
