Odds: Pedro Munhoz favored to finish Frankie Edgar

Check out the betting odds for tonight’s UFC Vegas 7 card, where Pedro Munhoz is favored to best Frankie Edgar in the main event.

UFC Vegas 7 kicks off tonight (August 22nd) from the UFC”s APEX center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will be headlined with top-ranked bantamweights Frankie Edgar and Pedro Munhoz doing battle. Edgar is actually the promotion’s #8 ranked featherweight, but will dropping down to 135-pounds to face the #5 ranked Munhoz. Bloody Elbow is here to bring you the betting odds for this top-tier tilt, as well as the rest of the UFC Vegas 7 card.

The oddsmakers are liking them some Munhoz over the former champ in the UFC Vegas 7 main event. With a moneyline of -265, Munhoz is substantially favored to get the won here. As for Edgar, he can be found as a sizable +245 underdog. It’s kind of sad to see Frankie at these odds, but you can’t really be too mad at the betting lines. Edgar has been there and done that, but that mileage is racking up and his time at the top is pretty much over, while there is still hope for Munhoz.

The over/under for this marquee matchup has been set at 3.5 rounds. At -180, the ‘Under’ offering is slightly favored to the ‘Over’s’ underdog value of +140. According to the betting lines, this UFC Vegas 7 main event will not be needing a full 25-minutes to determine a winner. The prop bet ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ sits with a favored mark of -180, with a +140 comeback on ‘Fight goes to decision.’

The oddsmakers also peg Munhoz as favored to produce a finish. The prop bet ‘Munhoz wins inside distance’ holds a favored tick of -155, with a +125 comeback on ‘Not Munhoz inside distance’ The bookies have much less faith in Frankie’s ability to end this one early. The exotic wager ‘Edgar wins inside distance’ is offered up as a super underdog option at +760, with ‘Not Edgar inside distance’ massively favored at -1390.
