The full lineup of fights for the UFC 229 pay-per-view main card is now complete.
It was recently announced that Tony Ferguson and Anthony Pettis are going to face off in the new co-main event for UFC 229. This is an excellent contingency plan for the lightweight title main event between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor, so in case something happens to either Khabib or Conor, there’s Plan B.
Originally, Derrick Lewis and Alexander Volkov were expected to serve as the co-headliners for this October 6th pay-per-view in Las Vegas, Nevada, but instead they’ll just be part of the main card instead of getting second-billing. Also featured on the pay-per-view are top-10 light heavyweight Ovince Saint Preux and rising prospect Dominick Reyes, as well as strawweight contenders Michelle Waterson and Felice Herrig.
…Remember the fears that this wouldn’t be a very deep card? Hopefully that’s been squashed.
We still have 1-2 more prelim bouts to be added, so the order of those fights haven’t been determined, but here’s what’s in store for what is expected to be one of the biggest nights in UFC history:
