Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC0 middleweight title contender Yushin Okami, who hoped to jumpstart his career with a drop to 170 pounds, did not get off to the best start in his new home over at ONE Championship.
“Thunder” was dropped and stopped by Kyrgyzstan killer Kiamrian Abbasov, 25, at the ONE: “For Honor” mixed martial arts (MMA) event on Friday (May 3, 2019) inside Isotora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Abbasov (21-4) is now the winner of three straight with two finishes.
After parting ways with UFC back in late 2013, Okami (35-13) returned to the Octagon four years later, but only managed a 1-3 run before once again earning his walking papers. The Japanese bruiser turns 38 in July.
