ONE Fighting Championship, Singapore’s burgeoning MMA organization, and kickboxing supergiant Glory Sports International have inked an exclusive partnership that will allow Glory entry into the ONE FC Network, a fighter sharing program encompassing the most prominent gyms and organizations in Asia.
Fighters in both Glory and ONE FC will now be able to fight in either promotion, as well as the laundry list of existing partners which includes Japan’s DREAM, Thailand’s DARE, Philippines’ URCC, Korea’s Road FC and Australia’s CFC.
The effect of the partnership will be felt immediately, as ONE FC fighters Shinya Aoki and Phil Baroni are expected to compete on Glory and DREAM’s co-promoted New Year’s Eve comeback event. Former DREAM featherweight and bantamweight champion and current ONE FC standout Bibiano Fernandes is also expected to fight on the card, which is headlined by Glory’s star-studded one night, 16-man heavyweight kickboxing tournament featuring a field including Semmy Schilt, Remy Bonjasky, Sergei Kharitonov, and Daniel Ghita.
