WWEWith the recent rumors that the World Wresting Entertainment company was trying to secure a fight between Brock Lesnar and the Undertaker, it shouldn’t be surprising that a few other fighters have come out to speak about the wrestling promotion.

With his recent retirement earlier this month, “Mr. International” Shonie Carter (49-26-7) has entertained fans all over the world facing opponents in sanctioned and unsanctioned events. Now most people would expect him to take things easy, but “Mr. International” wants to keep entertaining fans everywhere so he’s looking towards the WWE for the next chapter in his life.

“I’ve had my great adventures. I went to Tiananmen Square, just because I was there. I was on the Great Wall before I knew ya’ll. You know? I fought in Tokyo. I wrestled a bear in Russia. It’s been beautiful…I want to go to the WWE. I’ve talked to CM Punk about it. He works out at my gym. …I’m coming to acknowledge the mid-life crisis that a lot of guys go through where they get a Corvette and a hot blond girlfriend with big boobs. I’ve just decided to do the WWE. Overtime, that will be my name. Overtime, because I work hard. I put that hard hat on, I bring a lunchbox, and I punch in. If you get in that ring with me, you better punch in too, because you’re going to be working overtime.”

While another fighter, UFC heavyweight Matt Mitrione (3-0), had been the focus of a rumor that he was looking to head to the WWE. The former “TUF 10″ fighter has come out to squash those rumors and has no idea how it even started.

“That’s such a weird situation that my name got thrown in the mix, and then after that, that Pat Barry’s name got thrown in the mix,” Mitirone said on Monday’s episode of The MMA Hour. “Like, why is my training camp getting assaulted by the WWF people, man? I would much rather be leaving the UFC to go to the [World] Wildlife (Fund) than I would be to pseudo-fighters.”

Both fighters were guests on The MMA Hour, recently. You can find the full interviews with both at MMAFighting.com, Epsiode No. 63.
