ONE: “Masters of Destiny” is set for the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur on Friday night. The event is headlined by a featherweight kickboxing Grand Prix quarterfinal rematch between Giorgio Petrosyan and Petchmorrakot Petchyindee.

It also features Angela Lee who will be looking to get back to winning ways after suffering the first defeat of her entire career at ONE: “A New Era.”

Muay Thai: George Mann vs. Sorgraw Petchyindee (Featherweight)

George Mann is known for sporting one of the worst hematomas in combat sport history after his loss to Jo Nattawut. But he holds a decision win over Yudkunpon Sitmonchal and is very tall for the featherweight division.

Sorgraw Petchyindee has been in with some of the best fighters at the weight in Thailand. He’s not afraid to drop his hands and trade punches in the pocket.

Kickboxing: Josh Tonna vs. Yoshisha Morimoto (Flyweight)

Josh Tonna beat Joseph Lasiri but then lost to Hiroki Akimoto who then lost to Lasiri. He will keep coming forwards, pressurizing opponents and looking to land right hands but can be a bit too easy to hit.

Yoshisha Morimoto is very light on his feet and his kicks are fast but lack power. He has good hands too but tends to use one or the other, he either attacks with kicks or punches but rarely both.

Bi Nguyen vs. Bozhena Antoniyar (Atomweight)

Bi Nguyen (5-3) will be looking to underline her atomweight title credentials with a second straight win. The King of the Cage veteran and Survivor alumni is a southpaw with solid kicks and scored the first stoppage win of her career in Manila recently.

Bozhena Antoniyar (2-1) hails from Myanmar but has spent time training at Bali MMA. She will be at a disadvantage if this one goes to the ground.

Adrian Mattheis vs. Li Zhe (Strawweight)

Adrian Mattheis (8-4) is a promotional veteran. He lost his first three ONE Championship fight but then bounced back to win six out of the next seven and establish himself as a serious contender at strawweight.

Li Zhe (5-1-1) accepted this fight at relatively late notice. But he has fought four times on the ONE Hero Series events this year and the most recent bout was only a month ago so the Chinese strawweight should be in good shape for this one.

Muay Thai: Saiful Merican vs. Mohammed Bin Mahmoud (Bantamweight)

This all Malaysian Muay Thai match has generated plenty of local interest. Saiful Merican has competed extensively for the promotion as an MMA fighter but will be going back to his roots for this bout.

Mohammed Bin Mahmoud has been competing nearly every month on the ONE Super Series and will have a significant height advantage here.

Aleksi Toivonen vs. Akihiro Fujisawa (Flyweight)

Aleksi Toivonen (6-1-0-1) made his name fighting in Finland and has competed at numerous BJJ tournaments. He recently relocated to Singapore and has been sharpening up his skills at Evolve MMA.

Although Akihiro Fujisawa (5-1) made his ONE Championship debut in 2017 his competitive career actually started in Japan over a decade ago. So the Japanese fighter is more experienced than his record suggests, but recently saw his undefeated streak snapped by a submission loss to an opponent not renowned for his grappling.

Kickboxing: Kai Ting Chuang vs. Janet Todd (Atomweight)

Janet Todd came up short against Stamp Fairtex but was far too good for Wang Chin Long last time out. The Australian is aggressive and mixes up punches, low kicks and high kicks to very good effect.

Kai Ting Chuang is a former atomweight kickboxing champion who used her boxing skills to beat Yodcherry Sityodtong. Janet Todd will provide a much stiffer test for the Taiwanese fighter who will do well to survive the full three rounds.

Kickboxing: Hiroki Akimoto vs. Kenny Tse (Flyweight)

Hiroki Akimoto is a karate champion who fights out of Evolve MMA. But his ONE Super Series career has not exactly gone to plan, the Japanese fighter was beaten by Joseph Lasiri last time out.

Kenny Tse will also be looking for his first ONE Super Series win after back to back defeats. He fought a Japanese karate fighter last time out and was comprehensively outclassed on that occasion by Momotaro.

The entire ONE: “Masters of Destiny” fight card will be available to view live and free in some territories using the newly launched app which you can download here. In the U.S. it will be streamed on B/R Live.
