Heading into UFC 266 which features a rematch of Nick Diaz vs Robbie Lawler, you’d think Dana White would be in his element, re-promoting one of the classic early Zuffa era bouts that made the UFC what it is today.
After a long year of being outshined by the Paul Brothers’ series of celebrity boxing freak shows, you’d think the UFC’s bossman would be right at home talking about the fight on ESPN, his partner network. But no.
Instead some unhappy video editor at ESPN slipped a photo of Nick’s younger brother Nate into the UFC 266 promotional package that Dana White was talking over on SportsCenter or whatever show it was.
Both Nick and Nate Diaz are UFC stars and MMA legends so we should probably give the overworked n00bs at ESPN a break. After all, I’m guessing the mistake maker was still in grade school back in 2004 when Nick Diaz upset Robbie Lawler at UFC 47.
Not sure how they missed Nate Diaz’s more recent pair of bouts with Conor McGregor, but that’s neither here nor there.

Nick Diaz, not Nate, will rematch Robbie Lawler on Saturday on the main card of UFC 266: Volkanovski vs. Ortega.
