The Golden Boy promoter wasn’t impressed with White or Canelo’s contributions to Mexican Independence Day weekend.

Oscar De La Hoya continues to talk trash about UFC CEO Dana White, despite thoroughly enjoying UFC 306 at the Sphere last weekend.

White has claimed no one is banned from attending UFC events, and to prove it he pointed to De La Hoya, who was provided a ticket by Riyadh Season sponsor Turki Alalshikh. White and De La Hoya have had a perpetual back and forth going for nearly a decade now, and it didn’t end just because De La Hoya enjoyed Noche UFC.

As far as Oscar is concerned, the event was only a success because of Alalshikh. In a new edition of his ‘Clapback Thursday’ series, the Golden Boy boxing promoter ripped into White.

“I sat in Turki’s box upstairs, and I have to be honest with you: it was beautiful,” De La Hoya said in an Instagram video. “It was spectacular. It looked really cool. The production value was there. Everything was amazing. The fights were actually really good. So congratulations to Turki for footing the bill on this and making his celebration of the Mexican culture come to life.”

“And Dana, I know this wasn’t your idea or vision. Nothing ever is at the UFC. You’re the Fertitta’s errand boy. But I’m always honest and fair and I wanna praise the production. UFC Noche was a good time and I really enjoyed it.”

De La Hoya was no less critical of Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, who fought Edgar Berlanga to a decision win across town at the T-Mobile Arena.

“As I predicted, T Mobile arena did not sell out,” he said of the event. “In fact, an entire section of the arena was curtained off.”

He also wasn’t impressed with the fight itself.

“Fighters are getting praise for simply going the distance with a 35 year old Canelo who hasn’t knocked anybody out since 2021,” he said. “Don’t you all wanna see knockouts? I’m from a different time in this sport when fighters went to war in the ring. We wanted to destroy our opponents.”

“I still took the Pacquiao fight knowing my body was broken and old, and I couldn’t beat him but I was a warrior. I wanted to be a legend. It’s a different mentality, a champions mentality. Canelo wants to get paid. He avoids Benavidez and Bivol, who scold him just like Mayweather. He wants to cruise easily into retirement. Where are the fighters who have balls?”

“Remember, you’re never a hater when you simply give the facts,” he concluded.
