Manny Pacquiao def. Brandon Rios via unanimous decision (120-108, 119-109, 118-110)
Felix Verdejo vs. Petchsamuthr Duanaaymukdahan
Round 1: Both fighters open orthodox. The Thai is trying to apply forward pressure, but Verdejo is moving out of the way and landing shots before he’s out of the way. Two hard body shots from the Puerto Rican. And again. The speed differential is noticeable. Verdejo settled in and doing almost whatever he wants, including stiff uppercuts now.

Round 2: The Thai is pressing forward early again, but Verdejo is expertly moving out of the way. Verdejo is almost bullied into the ropes, but it’s all one-way traffic for Verdejo still. Uppercuts and body shots still for Verdejo and Duanaaymukdahan tries to respond, but looks so slow as a result. Duanaaymukdahan waving Verdejo on and lands a punch as a result, but eats several hard combinations.

Round 3: Verdejo opens with three stiff jabs as he circles. Verdejo steps out as he circles and cracks Duanaaymukdahan with a crushing right that temporarily buckles him. Verdejo now setting up larger attacks and the Thai fighters face is already a mess. Verdejo is landing everything, but Duanaaymukdahan is warned for a low blow. Two hard hooks to the body from Verdejo plus an overhand right.

Round 4: Verdejo is just clowning Duanaaymukdahan at this point, landing at will while the Thai fighter can do more than show his bravery. The Puerto Rican staying busy behind the jab and the left hook, keeping his back off the ropes. Duanaaymukdahan tries again to bully Verdejo against the ropes, but can’t do anything with it. Thudding left hook from Verdejo as Duanaaymukdahan opens his guard before the bell.

Round 5: Amazingly, the fighters trade left hook, but Verdejo is all over him now and lands another hard uppercut. Verdejo using everything in the arsenal and the only thing Duanaaymukdahan is doing is being tough. Duanaaymukdahan is given another warning for low blows by the referee. Counter right by Verdejo finds the mark and a scintillating uppercut that nearly puts Duanaaymukdahan out on his feet.

Round 6: Two left hooks from Verdejo to open the final round. Duanaaymukdahan is still pacing forward, but there’s nothing effective about his movement. Verdejo consistently going back to the uppercut more now and doubling it up with right hooks. Duanaaymukdahan is then docked a point for another low blow. The bout resumes and Duanaaymukdahan is eating shots immediately, yet beckoning in Verdejo. Another brutal uppercut, but Duanaaymukdahan just marches forward. A five-punch combination from Verdejo before the round ends and then another, but somehow Duanaaymukdahan hangs on.

Zou Shiming vs. Juan Tuscano
Round 1: Shiming cracks Tuscano with a left hook and then a potshot right as the closes the distance. Nice three-punch combination scores for the Chinese Olympian and he looks loose early. Shiming lands three straight right hands and presses Tuscano against the fence. There seems to be much more pop on Shiming’s punches. Tuscao manages a jab before the round ends.

Round 2: Stinging jab from Shiming. Good one-two from Tuscano, but Shiming responds with three thudding right hands. Shiming chasing with the right, but it appears to be landing. Excellent, stinging jab from Shiming, although Tuscano is a little more fluid this round. Right hand from Shiming rocks Tuscano and he responds in kind, but he’s still fighting from a deficit.

Round 3: Shiming doing all the pressuring in this frame so far. Shiming is cracking him with a series of rights against the ropes and is getting bombed on. Shiming smells blood is just opening up all over Tuscano, landing hard rights and really applying pressure. Two-punch combination drills Tuscano and he’s got him on his heels. A huge cut has opened over the right cheek of Tuscano.

Round 4: Shiming is still applying pressure and doing a superb job of making Tuscano miss. Stinging jab again from Shiming, but Tuscano lands one of his own. Shiming consistently beating Tuscano to the punch and again simply battering his opponent. Shiming tagging Tuscano with jabs and then getting out of the way before he can be countered.

Round 5: Tuscano lands a few punches and is maintaining composure. The two fighters trade jabs. Three hard jabs for Shiming and a cross. Shiming catches Tuscano with a crisp right and two more that wobble him. He manages to not go down, but he’s backing up now and not as active. Shiming chases him the rest of the round.

Round 6: Shiming starts the round with a thudding right cross. Shiming lands another right and the two open up their exchanges with Shiming pushes Tuscano around the ring. A counter left hook nails Tuscano again, who is taking a tremendous beating at this point. Tuscano is against the ropes and Shiming is trying to land the home run shot. Tuscano just can’t deal with the pressure. One-two combination from Shiming swivels Tucano’s head side to side. Shiming is relentless with the forward pressure.

Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Tor Hamer
Round 1: Hamer opens with a hard right and they’re trading on the inside right away. The fighters trade left hooks and then a hard right for Ruiz before Hamer returns the favor. Ruiz standing in the center of the ring with Hamer potshotting from the outside. Good left hook to the body scores for Hamer.

Round 2: Both fighters trading hooks in close range as the frame opens. Ruiz pumps his jab and is holding center ring. Good body jabs now from Hamer. Hard right hand from Ruiz cracks Hamer now. Another good jab from Ruiz and another. He follows up with a left hook, but eats one of his own from Hamer. Uppercut from Ruiz as the round ends.

Round 3: The boxers open up trading jabs and Hamer connects on a right hand and left hook. Good one-two from Ruiz and another right and he’s starting to take over. Again, two-punch combo from Ruiz lands to the head and body. Now a left hook and he’s pushing Hamer around the ring with his shots. Thudding left hooks from Ruiz now and Hamer looks tired.

Billy Dib vs. Evgeny Gradovich
Round 1: Gradovich trying to apply pressure early while Dib trying to keep him at the end of his jab. Dib is circling into the power hand of Gradovich, but now the two are clinching along the ropes. They break. Gradovich pressing forward with punches. Dib with a good one-two, but Gradovich seems unfazed.

Round 2: Gradovich lands three punches on the inside and connects on a left hook. Dib trying to keep the Russian away with his jab, but Gradovich keeps tying him up. Both fighters trade short right hooks. Dib with a good left hook and Gradovich clinches. Cracking right hook by Gradovich.

Round 3: Gradovich winging hooks in the center and chasing Dib around. Nice right hook by the Russian off a missed left hook from Dib. Dib covering up a little more early as Gradovich doesn’t lay off the pressure. Jab now from Gradovich and Dib returns the favor. Gradovich mauling Dib in the clinch, hanging on him and scoring short shots. Both fighters trade hooks at the end of the frame.

Round 4: Gradovich making the fight a phone booth battle and Dib is obliging. Dib trying to shake Gradovich off of him and after being wrestling in the clinch, lands some decent shots on the outside. Clash of heads as the reconnect from a clinch break. Both fighters are murdering each other in the clinch.

Round 5: Gradovich clinches up again and Dib is trying to fight his fight. Gradovich scores a nice right and left uppercut. Dib landing the right at distance, but Gradovich all over him inside with fast combinations. Clean right hand for Radovich over the top at distance. Good body shot, too. Two thudding right hooks land for Radovich as he moves laterally. And then a left as well.

Round 6: Gradovich’s relentless pressure starting to get to Dib, as well as the counter fighting. He’s missing a lot, but landing at range and in the clinch. Dib trying to land short shots in combination, but is cracked and knocked down in the process. Gradovich smells blood and is all over him. Dib seems good to go, but he’s having trouble with the hand speed of Gradovich at range.

Round 7: Gradovich doesn’t miss a beat and is pressuring Dib right away. Another right hand lands for Gradovich as Dib is backed against the ropes. Monster left hook hurts Dib, but he’s not down. Gradovich can’t be stopped, though, and Dib is in defensive mode. The pace has slowed a bit from both guys, but it’s still Radovich doing the most work.

Round 8: Radovich with a body shot to open up the round. And a brutal right hand from Radovich whips Dib’s head back. He does eat a left hook from Dib for his efforts. Radovich nals Dib in the corner and in a prolonged furry does his best to hit an admittedly active and moving Dib. Good one-two from Gradovich in the center of the ring. Dib with a left hook to the body, but was nearly called for dirty boxing at the end of the round.

Round 9: The boxers trade jabs in the center, but it’s Radovich cutting angles and throwing punches. Dib is being repeatedly backed up and Gradovich is scoring with punches. And that’s it. The referee has seen enough and calls it off as Dib is being battered against the ropes.
