Paige VanZant will be featured in the 2019 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition magazine.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition’s Instagram page made the news official by posting a pair of videos from VanZant’s photoshoot in Mexico. Check them out along with some quotes from the starlet here (via MMA Mania):
“I feel like when you’re in Sports Illustrated, that means you made it, so it’s a really big deal,” VanZant said.
“I’m mostly excited for people to see this side of me, I think people do forget that yes, I’m a professional fighter, my hair is cornrowed all the time, I punch people in the face for a living, but you can look really cute, too.”
Now, “PVZ” joins Ronda Rousey as the only other UFC athlete to be featured in the magazine. The 24-year-old has not only competed at a high level in mixed martial arts (MMA) competition, but also took part in season 22 of ‘Dancing With The Stars’, making it all the way to the finals.
She also won the celebrity-themed version of the ‘Chopped’ cooking series in 2017. Last year, “PVZ” released her autobiorgraph ‘Rise: Surviving the Fight of My Life’.
She returned to fight this past January, defeating Rachael Ostovich by way of second-round submission.
