The fight card for UFC on FOX 15 continues to fill out as a women’s strawweight bout was added to the card on Wednesday as Paige VanZant will square off with Felice Herrig. The bout was announced on UFC Tonight on Fox Sports 1.
VanZant, 20, made her UFC debut recently, defeating Kailin Curran via third-round TKO at UFC Fight Night: Edgar vs. Swanson in November. Her MMA record stands at 4-1. Prior to making her debut, VanZant was originally scheduled to compete on The Ultimate Fighter season 20, but was disqualified because of her age. Contestants on the show must be 21 years of age or higher.
Herrig, 30, last fought at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale where she submitted Lisa Ellis with a second-round armbar. Her MMA record stands at 10-5.
The event is headlined by a middleweight bout between former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida and former Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold. It will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on April 18th.
